How far in advance should I order my wedding cake?
We limit the number of cakes we create to 2-3 per weekend. Cakes are generally booked 6 to 12 months in advance and our weekends book quickly during the busy summer months.

How do you price your cakes?
Our cakes are priced per serving starting at $6.00/serving.

Do you have a minimum order?
Yes, we have a $600 minimum on wedding cakes
and $300 minimum on party cakes.

Do you have smaller cakes ready for pickup daily?
No, all of our cakes are custom made and must be ordered with a minimum of 2 weeks notice.

Do you make grooms cakes?
Yes, grooms cakes are getting very popular. Often we make a beautiful wedding cake and a fun cake for the groom. They generally have a theme having to do with cars, sports or something the groom is very interested in.

What is fondant?
Fondant is very similar to a marshmallow. It can be rolled out and draped over the cake, giving the cake a smooth, perfect look. Ours is homemade so it doesnt have that terrible preservative taste.

I have been quoted a really low price from a home baker. Is it legal to sell baked goods from a home? NO. It is against the law to sell any form of baked goods from a home kitchen and/or unlicensed kitchen in the entire state of California. Be aware of a baker who will come to your home & check for their licensing. Most venues will not allow a cake to be delivered to their facility that does not come from a licensed bakery.

How many different flavors can I have in my wedding cake?
Depending on the number of servings, I usually recommend 2 flavors which are no additional charge.

Do you make cupcake wedding cakes?
No, I'm sorry but we no longer offer cupcakes.

Can I have my cake decorated with fresh
flowers?
Absolutely, I will coordinate with your florist the design for you flowers.

No, I don't but I highly recommend

Do you have a delivery charge?
There is no charge for local delivery of approx. 30 mile radius. Charges may apply to further distances.

How do I freeze and defrost my anniversary tier?
If you are saving the top tier of your cake for your first anniversary, I will supply you with a box and freezing instructions.

How far in advance do you deliver your wedding cakes?
I generally deliver my wedding cakes one hour prior to the time on your wedding invitations. I try to be completely done with set-up before your guests start to arrive.

How much should I budget for a wedding cake?
Depending on how many servings you need and the complexity of the design of your cake. A good budget is $1000.00. It's always nice to come in under budget :)
